Chris Nichols
Library Assistant, London Borough of Camden
Chris is helpful and kind, exhibiting patience and understanding of the diverse needs of our customers and often goes the extra mile in assisting people. He has exceptional knowledge of the stock and has become a favourite amongst some of the regulars, especially the elders due to his approachable demeanour. He deals with potentially difficult customers in such a respectful way that any problems are quickly resolved. Chris defended his female colleague when she was attacked by a man with a knife in Swiss Cottage library. In a completely unprovoked and unexpected moment of aggression the man lunged at Ingrid. Chris jumped into action to save her from what could have been a severe stab wound. She was hurt but Chris prevented the situation from deteriorating further. Christopher puts a 110% into all his work and deserves recognition for his heroic action.
